Margaret R. Young passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Young; parents, Daniel Sr. and Cora Roundtree; two brothers, Marshall and Daniel; one sister, Nora L. William. Margaret is survived by one sister-in-law, Mable Young of Normangee, TX; two step-sons, Grady and wife, Moseller and Marvin L. and wife, of Dallas, TX; two step-daughters, Shirley Bradley of Los Angeles, CA and Ethel J. Payne of Oakland, CA; three nieces, Frankie Green of Fort Worth, TX, Nora Pearl Dean, Kathy Thomas and husband, Howard of Albuquerque; three nephews, Donald G. Thompson and wife, Gerline, Robert L. Thompson and wife, Eunice, Bobby E. Thompson of Glendora, CA; and a host of grandnieces and nephews, extended family, neighbors and friends. She was a kind, gentle and loving lady. Visitation will be Sunday, July 2, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 3, 2000, 11:00 a.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1509 Edith St. SE, with Rev. Dr. F.H. Cates, officiating. Interment at Fairview Memorial Park, following service.
