Teresa Merriam, a life long resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2000, surrounded by family after a long illness. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, David Merriam of Albuquerque; daughter, Jeanette Merriam Wiseman and husband, Justin of San Francisco; son, Steve Merriam and wife, Clarie of Albuquerque; mother, Grace Silva of Albuquerque; father-in-law, Everett Merriam of Sandia Park; three sisters, Mary Ann Dotts and husband, Dean of Oklahoma City, Cecilia LeBlanc and husband, Jim of Illinois, Michele Watkins and husband, Ken of Albuquerque; three brothers all from Albuquerque, Robert Silva, Fred Silva and wife, Theresa and Steve Silva and wife, Christine; rothers-in-law, Everett Merriam and wife, Eleanore of San Francisco and Ron Merriam of Austin; sister-in-law, Janice Strickland; nieces, Elizabeth, Desirae, Susan, Lori and Kathy; nephews, Michael, Benjamin and Gabriel; and many more loving relatives and friends. Teresa was employed by Social Security Administration prior to her illness. She had been an active team member in Marriage Encounter of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, and was a recipient, with her husband, of the National Parents Day Certificate of Recognition. It was Teresas wish to give special recognition to her treasured friend, Arlene Feltz, who cared for her like a sister during her illness and to long time friend Rev. David Klein for all of his support and love. Prayer service will be Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo del Norte NE, with Rev. David Klein celebrant.
