Mary Katherine Kathy Squellati, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1966, died on Thursday, October 12, 2000. Kathy was born on Friday, January 15, 1916 in Montfort, TX. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Herring and beloved friend, Teena Louise. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Squellati; parents, Brink and Beaulah Mayo and brother, W. B. Mayo. Kathy received degrees from North Texas University, SMU and University of Northern Colorado. She was a special education teacher and administrator for 44 years in Texas, Durango, CO and Albuquerque, NM. Kathy was a lifetime member of the NEA, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and Honored Ladies of the Shrine. And she was also a member of the Baptist Church. Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2000, 3:00 p.m. at the Meadows Senior Park, 7112 E. Pan American NE, Clubhouse dinning room.
