Mary Catherine Salazar, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2000. She is survived by her son James C. Salazar and wife, Janet of Albuquerque; daughters, Susan Hill of Albuquerque and Dolores Byron, and husband, Bob, of Santa Maria, CA; grandchildren, Alex Salazar, Tanner Gilchrist, Mark Valen, Craig Valen, and Doria Valen; sister, Martha Clark and husband, Howard, of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Max R. Salazar, and son, Skip Salazar. Mrs. Salazar was a founding member of St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church and a long time member of the Pan American Round Table. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church Fund, 431 Richmond Place NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87106. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
