Obituary for Molina

Born in Jarales, NM, April 3, 1924 - Died at home with his family in Albuquerque, NM, October 13, 2000. Mr. Luis Molina, 76, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 13, 2000 after a long battle of cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Josie Molina of 54 years. They were married on November 26, 1946 and had eight children. He is also survived by six of his children who affectionately known him as"Papa", three sons, Herman Molina and wife, Hazel, Leroy Molina and wife, Judy, and Isidro Molina and wife, Terri; three daughters, Virginia Schultz and husband, Deacon Ronald, Eloisa Molina-Dodge and husband, Felipe, Annabell Molina Muniz and husband, Albert; 14 grandchildren, Shirley Ann, Veronica, Therese, Luis, Shannon and husband, Roger, Micholine and husband, CJ, Josephine, Andrew, Misty, Esperanza, Felipe, Ralph, Genevieve and Emilio; four great-grandchildren, Anthony, Dominique, Mercedes and Shy; two sisters, Carmen Padilla and husband, Felix of Barstow, CA, and Rebecca Cordova and husband, Anselmo; one brother, Herminio Molina and wife, Evangeline; a cousin twice by his parents, Alice Molina-Sedillo; and many, many other relatives and friends. Mr. Luis Molina was a faithful, devoted and active member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, where he devoted his life to the Blessed Sacrament and service to others as a member of St. Vincent De Paul Society as a president and treasurer for many years, Holy Name Society, Eucharist Minister, and Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Navy from 2-25-43 until 11-18-45. He enjoyed his life long career as a carpenter, and a TV repairman in his early years. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to St. Vincent De Paul, c/o St. Charles Church, in memory of Mr. Luis Molina. Pallbearers will include grandsons, Luis Molina, Felipe Dodge, Andrew Molina, Godsons, Moises Molina, Rufino Cordova and nephew, James Padilla. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2000 at St. Charles Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 16, 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles. Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE. Arrangements by Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
