Obituary for Tunnell

Pearl Janice (Jan) Tunnell, 59, a resident of Belen, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2000. She was a member of the Golf Road Church of Christ in Belen. Janis worked for Pinkerton Security Service for the past five years. Her father, John Martin, preceded her in death in 1959. Janis is survived by her husband of 12 years, Gerald Tunnell of the family home. She is also survived by her nine children, Dave and Xiomara Wright of Belen, John and Kathy Wright of Rio Communities, Janice and Larry Dolezal of Los Lunas, Ellen and Rick Agee of La Costancia, Crystal and Kevin Grapp of LaCross, WS, Lora and Robert Candelaria of El Cerro Mission, Patty and J.R. Brown of Los Lunas, Bobby Tunnell of Clovis, Michelle Tunnell of Carlsbad; her 27 grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; her mother, Anna Billings and husband, Terry of Moriarty; her three sisters, Lilly Mayhill and husband, John of Tucumcari, Annabell Compary and husband, Jerry of Alamogordo, Carmen Imergoott and husband, Jeff of Rio Rancho; her three brothers, Marion Martin of Clarkston, WA, Beryl Martin and his fiance, Izella Martinez of Moriarty, Rawlin Martin and Jolene of Quantico, VA. Janis is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her two sons, David and John Wright; her four grandsons, Mark Wright, Ben Gutierrez, Daniel Clouser, Justin Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be her son-in-law, Robert Candelaria, Rick Agee, Larry Dolezal, Jaret Nicholas, and Kevin Grapp. A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 19, 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 19, 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Christ, 10 Golf Rd. in Belen. Interment will follow at Sandia Memorial Gardens. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen.
