Eumelia (Meena) H. Pohl passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2000. Mrs. Pohl was preceded in death by her mother and father, Carlota and Ramon Herrera; brother, Gabriel Herrera and his wife, Ernestine. Mrs. Pohl will be greatly missed by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; sons, Daniel and Michael Pohl; and daughter, Charlotte Flynn; brothers, Albert Herrera and wife, Frances, Raymond Herrera and wife, Rosella; grandchildren, Sherry Neilson, Loretta Patrick, Carolyn Flynn, Mell Flynn, Roxanne Gutierrez, and Tanya Pohl; along with seven great-grandchildren. Eumelia was an educator in the New Mexico public school system at the Elementary School level for 35 years. Retired in 1973, Mrs. Pohl spent the rest of her time as a happy homemaker. Final viewing will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, with Fr. Nils OFM, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casketbearers are Kenneth, Ron, Ramon, Nathan, and Philip Herrera, and Amadeo Pohl Jr. Honorary Casketbearers are Sherry Neilson, Loretta Patrick, Carolyn and Mell Flynn. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.
