Obituary for Kemper

Jean C. Kemper, a 50 year resident of Albuquerque, passed away at home on Friday, June 2, 2000. A volunteer with the Girl Scouts for many years, she was active as a trainer of leaders and trainers, and also lead Girl Scout troops in Albuquerque. Following retirement, Jean and her husband, Bud, spent eight years sailing the waters of Mexico in their 32 foot sailboat. Survivors include Dr. Clarence M. Kemper, her husband of 58 years; her daughters, Peggy Gutmann and husband, Jim of Middletown, CT and Mary Kay Rovelstad and husband, Gary of Montevallo, AL; as well as four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A private memorial service has been held. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Girl Scouts of Chaparral Council, 4000 Jefferson Plz. NE, Albuquerque 87109 are suggested. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Mrs. Kemper, (891-8200).
