Obituary for Sciumbato

Anne M. Sciumbato, 83, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend, went to see the Lord on October 16, 2000. Mrs. Sciumbato had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1951. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and will be laid to rest next to her husband of 35 years, Nick Sciumbato, Sr. She is loved and will be missed by her brothers, Toni Costa and Dominic Costa; and her children and grandchildren, Gabriel Sciumbato and wife, Pat and their son, Anthony, his wife, Allyson and his daughter, Peyton; Nick Scuimbato, Jr. and wife, Clyda and their daughter, Averill; Mary Sciumbato and her son, Nicholas; Joanna Lewis and husband, Jay and their children, Brandon, Heather and John; Theresa Crystal Sciumbato; and Carmela Richardson and husband, Terry and her children, Jimmy and Joseph Eastman. Mrs Scuimbato was preceded in death by her brothers, Alex, Johnny and Joe; and her sisters, Josephine, Frances and Mame. Mrs Scuimbato was a active member of the Highland Senior Center where she did volunteer work. She also enjoyed flowers and especially loved working in her rose garden. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., today, at Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., this evening, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, October 18, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Fr. Francis Eggert as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Anthony Sciumbato, Averill Sciumbato, Jimmy Eastman, Joseph Eastman, Paul Garson and Robert Garson.
