Venkat I. Narayan, M.D., age 51, of Santa Fe, died on Sunday, January 9, 2000, following a short illness. Dr. Narayan was born on November 12, 1948, in Madras, India. He completed his neurology training in Albuquerque and did his neurosurgery training in Syracuse, NY. He then came to Santa Fe where he maintained his practice in neurosurgery for 16 years. He is survived by his children, Christopher Narayan and Sara Narayan, both of Santa Fe; ex-wife, Cynthia Narayan of Santa Fe; brother, Norman Chidambaram of Vancouver, B.C.; sister, Seetha and husband, Jaya and husband, and Preema and husband, all of Madras, India; two very special friends, Glenn Jarvis and Bill Montoya, and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends in the United States and India.
