Obituary for Portlock

John M. Portlock, 58, a resident of Albuquerque for 36 years, died Friday, December 31, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Janice of Albuquerque; daughter, Sandy Portlock of Albuquerque; son, Jeff Portlock of Meridian, ID; mother, Mary Alice Portlock; mother-in-law, Juanita Townsend, both of Evansville, IN; brother-in-law, Paul Townsend and wife, Marcia of Terre Haute, IN; two nephews; and many cousins. John retired in 1997 after 33 1/2 years at Sandia National Laboratories. He had recently received his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Trinity Seminary and was currently working on his doctorate as a student/teacher. John loved his family, his Lord and his church. He was an active member and Elder at New Covenant Church. Memorial services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., at New Covenant Church, 7201 Paseo del Norte, with Pastors Rick Donaho and Don Jordan officiating.
