Obituary for Garcia

Dimas Garcia, a beloved father, grandfather and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 30, 1999. Mr. Garcia was born in Canoncito, NM - Cedar Crest on May 15, 1927. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenor Garcia; three sons, Joe, Eddie and Ramon. He is survived by his loving children, John Garcia and wife, Annie, Peter Garcia, Mike Garcia, Edward Salazar of Albuquerque, Aldopho Salazar and wife, Sally of San Marcos, TX, Fabiola Davis and husband, Russ, Florence Garcia, Carol Garcia, Anna Garcia and Casilda Garcia, all of Albuquerque, Betty Niemeyer and husband, Steve of National City, CA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Narcisso Garcia of Cedar Crest; one brother-in-law, Mel Rael of Albuquerque; two sisters-in-law, Mae Garcia of Canoncito, NM and Ermenia Garcia of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be today, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, located on the corner of 8th and Iron, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. this evening. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, 12:00 p.m., at San Lorezno Catholic Church in Canoncito (Cedar Crest), NM. Interment will follow at Canoncito Catholic Cemetery in Canoncito (Cedar Crest, NM). Casket bearers will be Manuel Garcia, Larry Garcia, Jerry Garcia, Albino Garcia, Eddie Salazar, and John Garcia. Honorary casket bearer will be Lenny Sanchez. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.
