Obituary for Peterson

Karl Peterson, born in 1913, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Saturday, December 29, 2001. He is survived by his son, Gary Peterson and wife, Sharron of Albuquerque; grandchildren, K. Todd Peterson and his wife, Amy of Fort Worth, TX, Krista C. Peterson of Albuquerque, Tiffani Carmichael and husband, Carlton of Edgewood, NM and their mother, Shirley; great-grandchildren, Jesse Karl and Andrew; step-grandchildren, Phillip Eberhart and wife, Valerie, Tandra Hicks, Lori Hicks, and Cheri Herring and husband, Bill; step-great-grandchildren, Felicia Davis and Jimi Leigh Hicks; step-great-great-grandchild, Natalie Hicks; sisters, Alma Dobbs and Erma Hoggatt. Mr. Peterson was a member of Alameda Community Church, and most recently a member of East Dale Baptist Church. He was known as the ťonion man. Mr. Peterson was also known for helping widowed women shoveling snow off of their driveways and taking them to church. He continued to help them when he lived in the nursing home. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Kerry Todd Peterson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The family wishes to thank Carestone Assisted Living for all the love and compassion shown to Karl.
