Obituary for Lovelace

John H. Lovelace, 80, passed away peacefully Sunday December 30, 2001, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Hickman, Kentucky on Oct. 24, 1921. He is survived by his wife, Mae. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dr. Virgil Andrew and Etta, his twin brother James, and brothers Billy and Virgil, brother, George, who resides in California, sisters-in-law Doris Knight, Lois Amsden, Joan Jacoby and husband Bill, all of Albuquerque, Janis Banchero and husband Don of California, and many nieces and nephews. John graduated from Washington University, St. Louis, MO, with a degree in business, and from UNM with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired from Sperry Corporation. He served his country proudly in the Air Force during WWII. He was a member of Sandia Mountain Lodge No.72 AF & AM and La Mesa Court #3, Order of the Amaranth. Honoring his wishes, there will be no memorial services. Private family graveside services will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
