Mr. Jose Fidel Valverde, 71, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 1, 2002. Mr. Valverde is the beloved husband of 49 years to Mrs. Isabel Valverde. Mr. Valverde is also survived by his loving children, Bernie Gutierrez and wife, Patsy, Donnie Segura and wife, Toni, Ray Valverde and wife, Rose, Bobby Valverde, Vincent Valverde and wife, Geraldine and Fidecito Valverde, Rita Baldonado and Mary Ellen Lovato and husband, George; one sister, Jessie Thomison; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Valverde was a member of the Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with visitation at the church after 12:30 p.m. Father Manuel Viera, celebrant. Cremation has taken place. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
