Ruth Drucella Nelson. On Monday, December 31, 2001, with her family at her bedside at Good Samaritan Village in Socorro, NM, Ruth Drucella Nelson was called home to join her husband, Darrell Victor; her daughter, Janet M. Mitchell; and her great-granddaughter, Traci D. Tullis. She was 84 years old. She is survived by two daughters, Jean M. Johnson and her husband, Joseph J, Darlene A. Mitchell and her husband, Robert; one son, William V. Nelson and his wife, Karen; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Ruth loved bowling, crocheting, reading, and working with flowers, most of all her roses and ferns. She was born in Titusville, Pennsylvania to Frederick and Marie Turner, on September 2, 1917. She will be missed greatly by her entire family and was loved by many. Services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2001, at Steadman Hall Funeral in Socorro, NM at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM on Friday, January 4, 2001. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Good Samaritan Village in Ruth Nelson's name, 1203 US Highway 60, Socorro, NM 87801.
