Obituary for Anderson

A.C. (Andy) Anderson, age 86, died Wednesday morning, January 9, 2002, in Albuquerque. He was born June 30,1915, in Paris, Texas, to the late John B. and Laura Clifton Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Katheryne Hunter Anderson; two sons, Clifton Anderson and wife, Patti of Redway, CA., and Richie Anderson and wife, Peggy of San Jose, CA. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Clifton Powell of St. Louis, Missouri. Survivors also include seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church where he was active in the Partnership Class and the Partnership Bridge Marathon until he became ill. Andy thoroughly enjoyed his active membership in Sandia Kiwanis Club, as well as his fishing in the Jemez Mountains. Andy was a traveling salesman for different cosmetic companies and spent many years traveling the entire Rocky Mountain area from Canada to Mexico. Cremation as taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE. (Central at University), on Saturday, January 12, 2002 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Marty Singleterry and Dr. Charles Crutchfield, presiding, with the assistance of Rev. Winfred Walker of Dumas, Texas, formerly of Albuquerque.
