Obituary for Nolan

Edward J. Nolan, age 78, a resident of Albuquerque, died January 20, 2002 in a local nursing home following a long illness. He is preceded in death by his son, John Francis; and his daughter, Lily. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice Catherine. His surviving children include Nora and her husband, Paul Friedl, Edward Nolan and his wife, Eileen, Vincent Nolan and his wife, Connie, Jeanne and her husband, Dan Henderson, daughter-in-law, Debbie Nolan; Katie and her husband, Dennis Fuhs, Tom Nolan and his wife, Sue, Mark Nolan, Bill Nolan, Joe Nolan and his wife, Barbara, Peggy and her husband, Mike Gurule, son-in-law, John Souza, Mary Nolan and Chris Nolan; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren also survive him. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Joan Lawless; brothers, Bob and Tom Nolan and their families. He was born in New York City, was an aviation radioman in the Navy during WWII, a graduate of Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, New York and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He and his family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1969. He was a real estate and insurance salesman. Following cremation, a private Memorial Service was held at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Contributions may be made to the Manor Care Heights Nursing Home, 2216 Lester Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87112. Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors handled the arrangements.
