Obituary for Massey

Aubrey Lee Massey passed away January 26, 2002. He was born October 3, 1918 in Turkey, TX to Arthur and Imogene (Pinkerton) Massey. After living in various other places, he moved with his family to Roswell, NM in 1929. He married Billie F. Millsap on September 9, 1939. He is preceded in death by his parents; an older brother, Milburn Massey; and an older sister, Doris Daniel. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie; sons, Don Massey and his wife, Denise, Randy Massey and his wife, Kathy and Rick Massey; brothers, Walt Massey and his wife, Rusty and Wally Massey and his wife, Betty; and younger sister, Jean Prince and husband, George; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Massey served in the U.S. Navy SeaBees during WWII and was stationed at Midway. He was in the automobile and RV business for more than 50 years. He lived in Roswell for 56 years before moving to Albuquerque 16 years ago. A Memorial Service will be held at his church, the Northeast Church of Christ, 11000 Paseo del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, February 2, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, 5700 Winter Haven NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120. Cremation has taken place and the remains will be privately interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Cremation arrangements by the Sunrise Society of NM, 891-8200.
