Virgil V. Garland, 84, passed away on Sunday morning, February 10, 2002. He was a member of the Peralta Methodist Church and a resident of Los Lunas. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Garland, of CA and Wilman"Babe" Garland of Estancia; his two sisters, Velma Cowley, of CA and Mildred Tindell of Estancia; and his parents, Bob and Jessie Garland. Virgil is survived by his children, Barry W. Garland of NV, Greg Garland, and Dana L. Garland, both of CA; his loving wife of 25 years, Janet"Jan" Garland of the family home in Los Chavez; his other children, Harold Edwards of Angel Fire, Todd Mosley of Belen, Debra Melton of Los Lunas; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Pearl Dressler of Mountainair; one brother, Whitey Garland of Los Lunas; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Estancia, NM at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Garland Cemetery in Estancia, NM. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
