Mr. Jose C. Perea, 65, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on February 19, 2002. Mr. Perea is the beloved husband of 44 years to Mrs. Lorey Perea. Mr. Perea is also survived by his children, Raymond Perea and wife, Patsy, Lillian Lujan and husband, Phillip, Patsy Luna and husband, Charles and Ivan Perea and wife, Margaret; ten grandchildren, Christine, Frank, Angela, Phillip Jr., Eugene, Dolores, Adrienne, Michelle, Ivan-Moises and Damian; four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Nathan and Kevin; four sisters, Amalia Gallegos, Pablita Herrera, and husband, Frank, Antonia Perea and Fred Casaus and Stella Lucero and husband, Moises; one brother, Gilbert Perea; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Perea is preceded in death by his parents, Maclovio and Rosalia Perea; two brothers, Santiago and Albino Perea. Mr. Perea was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mr. Perea will be Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m. by Reina Chavez. A final viewing will be Friday morning after 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Torreon, New Mexico with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Flortan Renaud. Interment will follow at the Torreon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Phillip Lujan, Charles Luna, Frank Armijo, Eugene Lujan, Milton Gallegos and Frank Herrera Jr. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW in charge of the arrangements.
