Obituary for Padilla

Jake Padilla, age 91, a resident of Albuquerque for the last 17 years, and a native of Clayton, NM, the foundation and strength of our family, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, February 23, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Padilla; daughters, Dominga Dominguez and Florence Mares and special son-in-law, Kinny Chacon. He is survived by his daughters, Josephine Otting and husband, Jim of Mountainair, NM, Alice Carerra, Rachel Scherbenski and Priscilla Chacon all of Sacramento, CA, Julia Pacheco and husband, Ernest of Albuquerque; and son, Jake Padilla and wife, Rosella of Amarillo, TX; 32 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Max Padilla of Riverside, CA. He will be missed by many and forgotten by none. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, February 26, 2002 7:00 p.m. at St. Frances Xavier, Clayton, NM and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at St. Frances Xavier.
