Frances Phyllis LeFeber Kirk, 85, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, George F. Kirk of Albuquerque; daughter, Roxana Kirk of Albuquerque; son, Gregory Kirk of Boston, MA; grandson, Brandon G. Kirk; nieces, JoAnn Gleason and Bette Erwin, both of Arizona. Frances was a graduate of Albuquerque High School in 1936. She attended the University of NM and was the drum major for the State of New Mexico Marching Band at the Chicago World's Fair in 1936. Frances was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Business Women's Sorority since 1941, was the Queen of Job's Daughters, and played in the Albuquerque Little Theatre. She was an active member of the St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal altar guild for 30 years and a docent at the Albuquerque Museum for many years. Frances worked for New England Life Insurance and Bray & Banes Life Insurance. Services will be held on Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE, with Fr. David Luckenbach officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel on Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE, 87106.
