Obituary for VALENZUELA

Eli G. Valenzuela, Jr. went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2004 at the age of 61. He was born on April 18, 1943 in Alpine, Texas. He is survived by his father Elijio M. Valenzuela, Sr.; son, Kevin Valenzuela and wife, Aimee; daughter, Janelle Valenzuela-Apodaca and husband, Lorenzo; brothers, Santiago Valenzuela, Sammy Valenzuela and wife, Rachel, Frank Valenzuela and wife, Diane, and Lorenzo Valenzuela and wife, Elizabeth; sisters, Annabell Leach and husband, Dean, Ortencia Gallegos and husband, Gene, Clara Casiano and husband, Ariel, Elena Zamora and husband, Jacque, and Ester Valenzuela; girlfriend, Vivian Taylor; ex-wife, Gloria Grace Valenzuela; and his grandchildren, Matthew Eli Valenzuela, Jada Valenzuela, Kyle Apodaca, and Isabella Apodaca. Eli will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. also at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Santiago Valenzuela, Sammy Valenzuela, Frank Valenzuela, Lorenzo Valenzuela, Ariel Casiano, and Tim Mullane. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Gallegos and Jacque Zamora. We know he is now free to ride horses, and will be cheering for the Dallas Cowboys from up above.
