Obituary for Engel

Mary C. Engel, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died on Saturday, February 23, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Miller of Albuquerque; brother, Howard Coy of Xenia, OH; sister-in-law, Ruth Coy of Lancaster, PA; brother-in-law, Raymond Huston of Kettering, OH; cousin, Marilyn DeAngelo of Los Lunas; David Quayle, who was like a son to her, of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred V. Engel in 1980. Mary taught in the Albuquerque schools for many years. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa and Kappa Kappa Iota honorary teachers sororities. She also belonged to the Albuquerque Association of Retired Teachers and had worked part time with the New Mexico Kidney Foundation. Private entombment will be held prior to the services. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE, with Rev. Martha Singleterry officiating.
