Obituary for Horne

Katherine Rogers Horne, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Friday, March 15, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Helen Horne Cantwell and husband, Steve of Deltona, Florida; sons, Hugh W. Horne and wife, Carolyn of San Marino, California, Robert M. Horne of Albuquerque and Thomas J. Horne of Albuquerque; five grandsons, Hugh R. Horne, Kenneth V. Horne, Scott B. Horne, Matthew S. Cantwell and Thomas A. Cantwell; niece, Helen Rogers Chaplin and husband, William of Irving, Texas and their children Helen Chaplin Carr and William W. Chaplin. Katherine was the daughter of Albert T. Rogers, Jr. and Helen Waldo Rogers of Las Vegas, New Mexico. She attended public school in Las Vegas, graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1939 where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She was former President of Delta Gamma Alumni Association of Albuquerque, member and sustaining member of the Junior League of Albuquerque and member of the Episcopal Church. Services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE with Pastor Pat Holman officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gregory R. Franchini, M.D., Hugh R. Horne, Kenneth V. Horne, Scott B. Horne, Basil N. Nellos, and Hon. Robert H. Scott.
