Obituary for Prairie

Sharron I. Prairie, a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, NM was called to the Lord March 17, 2002 after a long illness. Sharron is preceded in death by her grandparents, Felipe and Susie Candelaria; and her stepfather, George Rinaldi. Sharron a loving mother, daughter, and sister is survived by her children, Clorice Prairie, and Aasin Wynn of the family home; her parents, Lala Rinaldi of Simi Valley, CA, Leonard Prairie of Albuquerque, NM,; brothers and sisters, Abram Prairie and wife, Bobbie of Rio Rancho, Leonard Prairie and wife, Daine of Bernalillo, Dale and wife, Becky of Bernalillo, Garry Rinaldi and wife, Rita of Simi Valley, CA, Geoff Rinaldi and wife, Linda of Bernalillo, Noelle Zamora and husband, Charles of Albuquerque, Jeanette Prairie-Cordova and husband, Joe of Albuquerque, Arthur Prairie and wife, Joanie of Albuquerque; Godchildren, Becky Prairie, Gerred Prairie, Brittany Rinaldi; also 21 nieces and nephews; seven grandnieces and nephews; and many other relatives and many friends. Sharron was employed by Bernalillo Public Schools for the past 25 years, as an Administrative Secretary at Carrol Elementary School. In 25 years of service, she served in different capacities. Sharron was know by many with her involvement as an instructor for school bus drivers, CPR, first aide, and defensive driving through out the school district, and many others. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2002. Viewing will be at 9:15 a.m. prior to the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2002 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo with interment to follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerred, Jesus and Joseph Prairie, Rico Rinaldi, Joe Garcia and Frank"Kiko" Chavez. Honorary Bearers will be Richard Ramsey, Phillip Prairie, Richard A. Salazar, Gino Rinaldi, Pat Lucero, Erinie Salazar, Gino Salazar and Ed Wynn. A special thanks to Dr. Leonard Sanders and his staff at Lovelace Hospital for their hard work and dedication. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
