Obituary for Gabaldon

Ramey Ramona Gabaldon, 78, a lifelong resident of Los Chavez passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2002. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Los Chavez where she was a Mayordoma and taught catechism for five years, a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, a 4-H leader, and a member of the VFW Woman's Auxiliary #9676. She knew no stranger and was known for her kind and friendly personality. People loved her right away and she loved people. Her joking personality made people laugh, even the doctors at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Josephita Archuleta. Ramey is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Pat Gabaldon; her children, Wilmer Gabaldon and his wife, Consie, Eileen Gabaldon, Glen Gabaldon and his wife, Mary, all of Los Chavez, one daughter, Regina Gabaldon of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Cassaundra and her husband, Jacob Armijo, Patricia Gabaldon; Dominic Sanchez, Myra Gabaldon and her special grandpuppies, Sage and Chamisa; her three great-grandchildren, Jacob Allen, Patrick, and Mathew Armijo; her brothers, Ben and his wife, Connie Archuleta, James, Ernest, Chris, John and his wife, Susan Archuleta; her sisters, Lucille and her husband, Rupert Garcia, Nellie Cordova, and Celia Archuleta. She is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 22, 2002 at 5:30 p.m. at the Romero Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 22, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. at the Romero Funeral Home Chapel. On Saturday, March 23, 2002 a Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers are going to be Gil Sanchez; Chris, Ben, and John Archuleta; Jacob Armijo; Dominic Sanchez; and C.B. Chavez. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
