Rosie Saiz Mendoza, born in Socorro, NM, died Friday, March 22, 2002 in Albuquerque, NM. Mrs. Mendoza is preceded in death by her parents, Querino and Pauline Saiz. She is survived by her husband, Epifanio M. Mendoza of 45 years; sisters, Betty Zamora of Albuquerque, NM, Isabel Perales of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Manuel Saiz and wife, Lucia of Austin, TX; sons, Epifanio S. Mendoza III and wife, Mary, Tony Serna and wife, Darlene, Sammy Serna and wife, Darlene, Joe Serna and wife, Victoria, and Paul Serna; daughters, Viola Altamirano, Mary Armijo and husband, Theodore, and Eva Telles; 27 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; many friends and neighbors. Funeral Services for Mrs. Mendoza will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5525 Fortuna Rd NW, where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Epifanio J. Mendoza, Tony Altamirano, Donald Altamirano, Victor Saavedra, Steven Serna, and Bobby Serna. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dominic Altamirano and Josh Lovato. A Rosary for Mrs. Mendoza will be recited on Tuesday evening, March 26, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
