Obituary for Montoya

Mrs. Juanita G. Montoya, 93, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on March 29, 2002. Mrs. Montoya is survived by three daughters, Maria Soto, Mary Navarette and Lorraine Apodaca and husband, Ben; three sons, Robert Paul Candelaria and wife, Concepcion, Primitivo Montoya Jr. and wife, Epie, and Ruben Montoya; one sister, Isabel Avila and husband, Tony; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Montoya was preceded in death by her grandson, Albert Apodaca. Mrs. Montoya was a member of the Catholic church, member at San Jose Catholic Church and Church of the Ascension. She was a life long resident of New Mexico but spent the past two years of her life in Henderson, Nevada. A viewing will be Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr.SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final viewing will be Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Dennis Garcia. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Navarette, Benjamin Navarette, Mark Marquez, Ray Avila, Louie Montoya, and Erick Montoya.
