Obituary for Jelso

Carl L. Jelso, a long term resident of Albuquerque, died on Saturday, March 30, 2002. Carl is survived by his wife of 51 years, Coreen C. Jelso; children, Damian Jelso of Albuquerque, Linda Neuman and husband, Scott, of Taos, NM, Beverly Maeker of Brooklyn, NY and Kathleen Jelso of Anaheim, CA; grandchildren, Ryan Carl Maeker and Rilee Coreen Neuman; sister, Rose Muscarella and husband, Gandolph, DDS. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Dr. Samuel Jelso, John Jelso and Joseph Jelso. Before moving to New Mexico, he was a high school teacher in Buffalo, NY. Carl and his brothers built Luna Lodge Motel on Central. He owned and operated, with his family, the Bowl-O-Drome Lanes and the Pink Elephant Lounge. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo del Norte NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Tuesday, April 2, 2002, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
