Obituary for Quezada

Mr. Joe Quezada, 74, Master Sgt. U.S.A.F. Retired, a resident of New Mexico passed away on April 16, 2002. Mr. Quezada is the beloved husband of 49 years to Mrs. Armida Quezada. Mr. Quezada is survived by one daughter, Greta Quezada and husband, Toby Romero; three sons, Gary Quezada and wife, Debra, David Quezada and wife, Celina and Steven Michael Quezada; two sisters, Micaela Martinez and husband Alex and Elvira Quezada; nine grandchildren, Jessica and husband, Bryce, David Joseph, Richard Joseph, Isaiah Joseph, Robin Nicole, Gary II, Annalisa Maria, Marisa-Mia Cheyanne and Reina; one great-grandson, Isaac; mother-in-law, Gertrude Garcia; special acknowledgment to Betty and Fred Romero; brothers and sisters-in-law, Helen Martinez, Maudie Sanchez, Finnie Henley, Estella Duran and husband, Robert, Amelia Martinez, Ted Martinez and wife, Dolores, Clarence Martinez and wife, Viola, Patsy Martinez and husband, Juan and Ernie Sandoval and wife, Jane; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Quezada is preceded in death by his son, Richard. Mr. Quezada was a member of the Catholic Church, and was a Veteran of the Army Air Corps. during in WW II and a Veteran of the U.S.A. F. serving during the Korean Conflict in Okanawa and during the Vietnam Era living in downtown Saigon stationed at Tan Son Nuet Air Force Base. A Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Queen of Heaven Church by Deacon Pilar Garcia. A final viewing will be Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Queen Of Heaven Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. by Father Johnny Lee Chavez. A Committal Service will follow at twelve noon at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full Military Honors by the D.A.V. Chapter 3. Pallbearers will be, David Joseph Quezada, Richard Joseph Quezada, Isaiah Joseph Sandoval, Gary Robert Quezada I I, Joe Moreno and Gabriel Moreno. Honorary will be, Arthur Martinez and Fred Romero. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
