Obituary for Brown

Arthur W. (Art) died in his sleep March 27, 2002, at a rest home in Duluth, MN. He was 87. He was born and raised in Iowa. Art and his wife-to-be, Elizabeth (Bess), came to and were married in Albuquerque in 1946. Art served in the U. S. Army Air Corps in Florida during World War II where he met Bess. Art entered the real estate business in the 1950's from which he retired in 1997. He was founder and president of Little-Brown & Co. Inc. His real estate work was concentrated on Albuquerque's west side He was indeed a visionary and became recognized for his knowledge about the area. Art was always upbeat and optimistic about Albuquerque, making predictions about how the west side would look in the future. He lived to see all but a few of them come true. Bess preceded Art in death in December 2000. Their ashes will be scattered in Albuquerque.
