Jeanne Sawyer Reubold, born in Chicago, IL on October 3, 1914, died in Albuquerque, NM on April 17, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Reubold, of Albuquerque; a cousin, Dr. James B. Marks and wife, Nancy of Huntsville, TX; and several great-nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her"other" daughters, Mary Wells and husband, John; grandson, Philip Wells, and Debi Burud, all of Minnesota. She is also survived by the"livestock", Bubba, Boy and Hawkeye. Her life was enriched by Cathy's wonderful friends, especially Kate Piper and Cathy's best friend, Jim Sampson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Reubold. Jeanne was born in Chicago, IL and resided there until her family relocated to Wisconsin. She graduated from Columbia School of Nursing in Milwaukee, WI and did post graduate work in obstetrics. When Cathy started school, Jeanne went back to her nursing career, this time as an industrial nurse. She was very active in various nursing organizations and held state offices. She was a World War II veteran, serving as an officer in the army, mostly in the South Pacific, utilizing her skills as a Registered Nurse. She was very proud of her military service and was a life member of the American Legion, joining in 1958. After she and Art retired in 1970, they moved to Albuquerque. She then began another career as a Pink Lady at Anna Kaseman Hospital until health problems forced her to quit. She had a long, interesting and productive life and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Jeanne's wonderful doctor, Dr. John Guttman and the Lovelace hospice unit, especially Pam and Sherie; also to the wonderful, compassionate caregivers from Home Instead, Donna, Lori and our new good friend, JoAnn.
