Viola Bustos passed away April 18, 2002 in Pleasant Hill, CA. She was 84. A native of New Mexico, Viola graduated from Seaton School of Nursing in Colorado Springs, CO in 1941. She worked as a registered nurse for more than 30 years. She participated with Our Lady of Fatima Church, Albuquerque. The Blue Army Prayer Group and Christ the King Church in Pleasant Hill, CA. Viola is survived by daughters, Gloria, Rita and Laural Bustos and Linda Brosamer (Robert); sons, Benjamin (Marylou) and Manuel Bustos; sisters, Lila Maes of Santa Fe, NM, Adeline Fuggiti of Chicago, IL, Ermina Rudolph of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Manuel Alcon of Mora, NM; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Her husband of 51 years, Benjamin Bustos, died in 1992. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE in Albuquerque. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Albuquerque. Burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery will follow. Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel, 925-934-5400.
