Angie Ramirez, age 73, died April 20, 2002. She was born October 9, 1928 in Albuquerque, NM and has been a life long resident. She is survived by Macario Ramirez, her husband of 57 years; eight children, Antonio and wife, Laura Ramirez of NM, Manuel and wife, Elaine Ramirez of TX, Macario Jr. and wife, Patty of NM, Albino Ramirez of NM, Martha and Augustine Rodriguez of NM, Monica and husband, Alejandro Chavez of NM, Louisa and husband, John Raught of NM, Emily Carmignani of NM; two brothers, Calistro Sanchez of NM, Silvestre Sanchez of NM; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Angie was preceded in death by; her mother, Louisa Lopez; and one sister, Maria Ramirez. During her life she worked at Christian Kent Nursery, and Presbyterian Hospital from which she retired. Pallbearers will be the seven grandsons and Ron Hadad. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. preceding a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. located at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW. The Mass will be celebrated Tuesday April 23, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Father, Manuel Viera, and assisting will be Deacon, Nesta Garcia and Deacon, Robert Paiz. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
