Harry Mitchell, 84, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 20 years, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2002. Harry was born March 16, 1918 the son of William G. and Allison Bruce Mitchell in Beloit, Wisconsin. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WW II. He had been a Mechanical Engineer in the Automotive Manufacturing industry before retiring. Harry was a member of the Rio Rancho Kiwanis Club, and he was a life member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Roberta, of the family home; two daughters, Cheryl L. Shepherd and Karen A. Martin and husband, Paul; one sister, Margaret Lee; and four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln, Rio Rancho, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
