Obituary for Jaramillo

Joe F.R. Jaramillo, 54, a resident of Albuquerque for 48 years, died Monday, April 22, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Sherry A. Jaramillo; his puppy, Honey; mother, Louise Jaramillo; sister, Julie Valdez, all of Albuquerque; nieces, Michelle Almager and Mia Valdez; grandniece, Alyssa Gonzalez; and nephews, Gabriel Almager, Elijah Almager and Treazure Garcia. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfonso Jaramillo; and two brothers, Tommy and Abel Jaramillo. Joe served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam and received the Purple Heart Medal. He worked for the U.S. Postal service for many years. Joe was blind the last 10 years of employment. He touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. Joe was a member of Mesa Baptist Temple. Graveside Services will be held Friday, 12:00 noon, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, with Pastor Jeff Carr officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
