Joan G. McMichael, age 68, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and Santa Rosa, New Mexico, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002. She was born October 12, 1933 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Ira and Irma (Gibson) McMillan. Survivors include sons, James (Macky) M. McMichael and wife, Linda of Albuquerque, NM, Bill R. McMichael and wife, Kimberly of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Kira Lea Baca, Amanda Dearholt, Kayliegh McMichael, Jared McMichael, Stephanie McMichael, Billy R. McMichael Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Alex Baca Jr., Kylie Martinez, Cailin Martinez and numerous close friends in Albuquerque and Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2002 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2002 in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is entrusted to the care of Joan.
