Isabelle F. Shinnick, age 75, of LaSalle, Colorado died May 5, 2002 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. She was born February 3, 1927 in Princeton, Illinois to Timothy O. and Janice (Bailey) Ferrell. Her stepfather was Roscoe Johnson. She was raised in Princeton. In 1956, she moved to Albuquerque, NM where she raised her family. In Albuquerque, she was very involved with her church and volunteering as well working as a legal secretary and then working with an optometrist. In 1990, she moved to LaSalle, Colorado to be near her daughter. She volunteered at North Colorado Medical Center. She enjoyed her bridge group, gardening and her animals. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Hemker of Platteville, CO; sons, Ferrell Shinnick of Austin, TX, Mathis Shinnick of Darien, CT; sister, Julie Lobo of Cleveland Heights, OH; grandchildren, Tristan, Jesse, Spencer and Rory. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2:00 p.m. at her home, 411 N 3rd Street in LaSalle. The family requests no flowers, however, memorial gifts may be made to the Northern Colorado Animal League, 1620 42nd Street, Evans, CO 80620 in the name of Isabelle Shinnick.
