Barela Amalia Barela Ortega died on Monday May 6, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 89 she is survived by her son, Anthony Ortega; and her daughters, Mary C. Gonzales and Viola Flores; and by ten granchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. Her Funeral Service was on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Chuch.
