Theodore J. Whitehead, age 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died Thursday in a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Leta of the family home; brother, Donald (Lucille) of Las Cruces, NM; nieces, Diane Cowden of Riverton, Iowa, Faydean Smith of Hamburg, Iowa; and other nieces and nephews from Albuquerque. Retired from LANL in 1982 as an Airport Supervisor. Following cremation a Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2002 in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling arrangements for Theodore.
