Iris Ann Nemitz, 64, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died Sunday, May 12, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John L. Nemitz; daughters, Rose Ann May Rael and husband, Antonio and Theresa Ann Navarrette and husband, Skip; son, Michael John Nemitz and wife, Flora; daughters, Patricia Ann Shaw and husband, Brian and Crystal Ann Nemitz, all of Albuquerque; 17 grandchildren, Theresa Ann Lacen, Donna Marie Rael, Ann Marie Lacen, Adrian Jospeh Rael, Justin Daniel Rael, Amber Jennifer Navarrette, Jessica Lynn Navarrette, Jason Nathaniel Navarrette, Jacob Quinlan Navarrette, Jamie Diane Dow, Michaela Ann Nemitz, Cody John Michael Nemitz, Timothy John Nemitz, Gary Brian Levi Shaw, Matthew Cody Shaw, Christopher John Nemitz and Katelynn Nicole Nemitz; two great-granddaughters, Serina Nicole Mosley and Haley Ranee Mosley; sisters, Eileen Carnesi of San Antonio, TX, Sandra Davis and husband, Harold of Manassas, VA and Barbara Hauswald and husband, Rudy of Woodland, WA; and brothers, DuWayne Grulke of Thousand Oakes, CA and Daniel Grulke and wife, Barbara of Fairfax, VA. Mrs. Nemitz was a former member of the Immanuel Lutheran School Board, former Superintendent of the Sunday School at Immanuel Lutheran Church and very active in her church. Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold Ave. SE, with Pastor Randy Walquist officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Daniel Grulke, DuWayne Grulke, Harold Davis, Rudy Hauswald, Lee Nemitz, Lee Dapson and Ray Milks. Honorary pallbearers will be Timothy Nemitz, Christopher Nemitz, Adrian Rael, Justin Rael and Jason Navarrette. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold Ave. SE, 87102.
