Obituary for Long

Martha H. Long, 82, born October 27, 1919, to Elizabeth and John Heisey in Lancaster County, PA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 20, 2002. She was a resident of Albuquerque since August 1989 and a member of Hoffmantown Church and the Golden Circle Connection Class. Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Samuel B. Long; by five brothers; and one sister. She is survived by two daughters, Audrey Staller and husband, George of Albuquerque and Patricia Long, also of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Heather Heisey and husband, Leon of Pennsylvania, Kurt Staller and wife, Carrie of Texas, and Justin Marshall and wife, Karen of Florida; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Lynn and Emma Henry, both of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. Martha was an accounting clerk for HERCO in Hershey, PA for many years retiring in 1983. Martha loved spending time with her family; she also enjoyed traveling, crocheting and making craft items. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd .Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor William"Bill" Ratliff officiating. Interment will take place at United Zion Cemetery in Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Sandia Hospice Pavilion, 4775 Indian School Rd.
