Obituary for Baca

Jose (Joe) Cardon Baca, 82, passed away May 16, 2002 at St. Joseph's Heart Hospital. He was born December 15, 1919 in Las Cruces, NM. He is survived by his children, Katy Baca, Virginia Kruse, Patricia Sedillo, Rose Baca, Jenny Porter, Joseph Daniel Baca, Michael Anthony and Judy Baca; grandchildren, David, Donny, Robert, Sandy, Victoria, Patrick, Simone, Angela, Christina, Brian, Eric and Marcus Anthony; great-grandson, Zachary; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was a veteran of WW II and landed on Normandy Beach with the 90th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army. He was very proud of his service and his children learned the importance and significance of service to our country. His family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Albuquerque Manor for their love, care and compassion they showed Joe. He loved his family and could always make us laugh. Thanks, Dad. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at Aquinas Newman Center, 1815 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Father Bob Keller officiating. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
