Obituary for Gomez

Alfred Gomez died in Albuquerque at the age of 83 on May 21, 2002, born July 7, 1918. He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Conception Gomez; his sister, Margaret Chavez; and a brother, Billy Gomez. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Gomez; daughter, Olivia Romero; granddaughter, Gabriela Romero and fiance, Mark Sandoval; sisters, Emma Padilla of Albuqerque, Alicia Badillo and husband, Rogelio of EL Paso, TX; brothers, Joe (Tito) Gomez, Robert Gomez and wife, Connie of Albuqerque, Freddie Gomez and wife, Vicky of Albuquerque, Eloy Gomez and wife, Evelyn of Pico Rivera, CA, Tony Gomez and wife, Emma of El Paso, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. Alfred was retired from the Railroad after 45 years. He served in the Army National Guard WW II. He was a member of San Felipe De Neri Church. The family wishes to express their thanks to Presbyterian/ Kaseman and Hospice for all their help. The family requests that donations be made to Presbyterian/ Kaseman Hospice. Funeral Service for Mr. Gomez will be held on Friday at San Felipe De Neri Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glen Garcia, Mark Sandoval, Richard Valdez, Gilbert Gonzalez Joe Gomez Gabriel Padilla. Rosary will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at San Felipe Nari Church.
