Parke W. Batson passed away June 2, 2002 after a massive stroke. He served in the Navy during World War II. He retired in 1987 from Albuquerque Gravel Products where he worked for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of the family home; daughter, Barbara of Ohio; four step-children, Dan Dunlap and wife, Donna, Tom Dunlap, Sue Batson and Dwayne Batson; four grandchildren, Justin, Danelle, Mark and Travis; one great-granddaughter, Kayla Jay. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Get-together was held on June 4, 2002 at the family home and was attended by family and friends.
