Charles Singletary, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Viola Singletary of Albuquerque; children, Walter Singletary and wife, Carol of Ruidoso, NM, Linda Baca and husband, Jim of Albuquerque, and Charles Stanford and wife, Deanna of Oregon; grandchildren, Michael, Bonnie, Kevin, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Logan. Mr. Singletary was a member of Masonic Lodge, Temple 6, and was past president of the Shrine Chanters. He was also past president of the Civilian Conservation Corps-New Mexico. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, June 14, 2002, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Jewish Medical Center, 1400 Jackson St., Denver, CO, 80206 or Good Shepherd Center, 218 Iron SW, Albuquerque, NM 87103.
