Obituary for Storm

Helen Texanna Storm, age 90, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for thirty years, went to be with our lord, June 13, 2002. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of almost sixty years, David, in 1997. She was born in Hensley, West Virginia April 11, 1912 to Minnie and James Garbett. She lived in New York until retiring to New Mexico in 1972. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Bruning and husband, Bill, and Dorothy Schweizer, all of Rio Rancho; grandchildren Debby and husband Jon Blanchard of Texas, Beth and husband Carlos Pacheco of Texas, Bill Bruning of Los Lunas, Tonna Schweizer of Arizona, and Tom Schweizer and partner Christina of Arizona. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Leanna and Sean Blanchard, BJ, Adam, and Audra Elias, Ashley and Payton Schweizer, Ryan and Carlyn Schweizer, and Kylie and Adrienne Pacheco. Also surviving is her special niece, Myrtle Cunningham of Indiana. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, on Sara Rd., in Rio Rancho, with Reverend Don Neidigk of Calvary Lutheran Church.
