Obituary for Dexter

Grace Dexter, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Henry V. Dexter Jr. of Albuquerque; sons, Jack James Jr. and wife, Mary, Thomas Michael James and wife, Lana, Robert James, all of Albuquerque and Charles James of Ohio; daughter, Merriam Johnson of Florida; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Samuel Chew and Ralph Chew; sisters, Sarah Anderson, Iva Jeanne Williams and Olive Wolf; and many nieces, nephews; and friends. Mrs. Dexter was born in Lancaster, PA and moved to Albuquerque in 1955. She worked at Kirtland Air Force Base as a security stenographer. Mrs. Dexter was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a member of two Good Sam Chapters, The Zia Roamers and The Duke City Sams. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Coronado Ward. Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 28, 2002, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment of cremains will take place at a later date.
